Events

The Salvation Army of North Texas is looking for schools, churches, faith-based schools, and clubs who would like to participate in our Valentines from the Heart program. Volunteers can design and create Valentines for families experiencing homelessness. Valentines can be encouraging, inspirational, etc.. Volunteers can write messages like “We’re praying for you” or “Jesus loves you” in their cards.
Valentines will be distributed to residents housed at the Mabee Center in Fort Worth and Arlington Family Life Shelter. Cards will also be placed in our weekly food pantry bags for families currently suffering from food insecurity. This is a great way to bring some joy and encouragement to those who need it most.
An additional way for individuals, churches, or corporations to get involved is to donate blank Valentines for kids, in our shelters, to take to their schools for their Valentine parties.
